3 Years Today

Hubby and I have been married for 3 years today! As his brother said in his card this morning "'Happy Umpteenth Anniversary' (I know how long you have been married, just can't decide whether it feels longer or shorter)" And so it feels for us. I was blessed to be able to marry my best friend, the man for whom my world spins. We have been through a lot in the last 3 years, and have grown together as a result. People say that getting married young (I was just 22, he was 21) ties you down, stops you from enjoying life. Oh, but I beg to differ. Marrying my hubby was the most liberating thing I have ever done. I am free to love and be loved. I am free to try new experiences and not worry if I fail. I am free to support and encourage Hubby onto new heights to help him be all he can be. God has been the central theme to our marriage, and our lives. Prayers and Promises for a SuperNatural Childbirth

This is the book that I have been reading over the past couple of days, and I am not entirely sure what I think about it. On the face of it, it all seems rather nice, pray these prayers and claim these promises and you will not only conceive, but have a pain-free delivery. After all, Jesus died on the cross to offer grace where there was once law, and there is no such thing as a miscarriage or abortion in the Bible, and all the women in the bible who were childless went onto have children when their faith increased. But doesn't this rather smack of the 'name it and claim it' prosperity gospel? The one where you get what you pray for, with God as a vending machine - say the right words and your request shall be granted? It feels like the book 'The Prayer of Jabez'. Yet there are testimonies of people who have prayed the prayers and have got pregnant and had wonderful deliveries. Has anyone prayed the prayers and still not got pregnant?
