Just had my meeting with HR, and he said he would look into part time work. He asked what it was that I wanted in terms of hours, and was really helpful. Legally, I have no right to even ask for part-time hours as I don't have children. He said he would get back to me by the end of the week. He also said that my boss needs to be part of the negotiations should I go part-time, but he's not back in for another 2 weeks. But at least I shall know by the end of the week whether those discussions are even necessary.
Feel slightly in limbo as HR gave no inidication of which way the cookie would crumble. Guess its back to the old trusting thing!
